FEMA authorizes federal funds to help fight Angel Springs Fire

The Federal Emergency Management Agency authorized the use of federal funds to help fight the Angel Springs Fire Saturday.

The fire began on August 2 and has burned around 4,500 acres. Crews say they now have the fire 15 percent contained.

According to the Eastern Area Incident Management Team, six structures and seven outbuildings were lost in the fire.

Fire Management Assistance Grants are used to assist in fighting fires that threaten a major disaster.
