HAYDEN, Idaho - On first appearance, these boys don't look like your average set of brothers, but they do have some similarities.
Both go by their middle names. This is 7-year-old David Russell and 8-year-old Timothy Harley.
Harley likes dressing as a girl, complete with stickers for earrings and sparkly boots that he had to trade out at Triple Play to better grip the climbing wall.
“I don't care what people say about me,” said Harley. “I'm minding me, they have to mind them.”
Little brother Russell is rough and tumble and ready to take on the climbing wall, the ropes course, and his favorite thing: video games. Star Wars Battlefront is his favorite.
Russell and Harley share a lot of the same interests, like pizza.
They also often share birthday parties, since their birthdays are within 5 days of each other. At least one of them is okay with that.
In a lot of ways, Russell and Harley are like typical brothers. In other ways, they are not typical, and have some specific needs. Their social workers want to find the right family who can handle and care for these boys, helping them navigate the challenges of life.
The boys just want a family, full of fun and security, a family who will love and accept them for who they are.
