The man who triggered a statewide Amber Alert on Tuesday was taken into custody for a second time on Wednesday afternoon.

Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson said Nicholas Antoine was arrested near North Bend and transported to the King County Jail.

Antoine and his wife, Crystal Lane, were detained near Cheney on Tuesday evening after authorities in Seattle issued an Amber Alert for their four children.

The initial alert said Antoine and Lane took off with the children in an RV when a Superior Court judge ordered they be handed over to Child Protective Services. Antoine told 4 News Now he did not know a judge had ordered his kids be removed.

Troopers took Antoine and Lane into custody, but released them shortly after. Meantime, they took the four children into protective custody.

Trooper Johnson said an arrest warrant was issued early Wednesday after Antoine allegedly threatened to harm someone who had a protection order against him.

This is an incident involving the same motorhome involved in the #AmberAlert yesterday. @wastatepatrol across the I-90 corridor had been looking for this vehicle since 4:30am due to PC to arrest the male driver for Violation of a Protection Order and threats to harm. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/j1Kq2Gxryx

The RV was spotted near Ellensburg Wednesday morning, but troopers were unable to find it. Around 9:30 a.m., troopers found the RV on I-90 near mile post 170.

Antoine was arrested and was being taken to Seattle. Johnson told 4 News Now partner KOMO News that Antoine was alone — his wife had been dropped off in Moses Lake.

Seattle police said Antoine has been withholding needed medication from his children and has reportedly made threats of physical harm in the past. Detectives said the mother had mental and substance abuse issues and there was significant domestic violence between the parents.
