Farting passenger forces plane’s emergency landing
VIENNA — Planes are forced to make emergency landings for a number of reasons. Engine problems, technical problems, low fuel. Well now, you can add flatulence to that list.
A flight from Dubai to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing in Vienna after a fight broke out because one of the passengers would not stop breaking wind.
According to the Huffington Post, the fart-induced chaos happened Feb. 11 aboard a Transavia Airlines Flight when two men sitting next to an apparently very gassy man began complaining about his constant farting.
The disgusted seatmates reportedly complained to flight attendants, who apparently did nothing.
Eventually, a fight broke out on the plane because of the stinky situation.
The pilots then made an emergency landing and removed the complainants and two women who were sitting in the same row… but not the farting man.
None of the passengers on the plane were arrested because they had not broken any Austrian laws. However, they have been banned from flying Transavia Airlines in the future.
