Eastern football opens fall camp

Eagles win 52-51 thriller over Bobcats

The Eastern Washington University football team opened fall football camp on Wednesday in Cheney.

The Eags practiced on the back fields, instead of the famous red turf. Head Coach Beau Baldwin says practicing on the grass gives things more of a camp feel.

Eastern lost 14 starters to injury in 2011 and is excited to get the 2012 campaign underway. EWU opens the regular season on Thursday, 8/30 at Idaho. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
