Eastbound lanes of Snoqualmie Pass reopened after several car spinouts

Snowy conditions are seen on I-90 near Snoqualmie Pass

KITTITAS CO., Wash. — Eastbound I-90 lanes of Snoqualmie Pass have reopened after a brief closure due to car spinouts.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, chains are now required on all vehicles traveling on I-90 through the pass, except for cars with all-wheel drive. Oversize vehicles are prohibited.

WSDOT says there is snow and slush on the roadway, with snow currently falling hard. There is also an estimated travel time of over an hour and a half for travelers.
