Early morning hit and run knocks down power pole
GREEN ACRES, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office are continuing to search for the driver of an early morning hit and run in Green Acres. This vehicle struck a power pole sending live wires into Henry Street between Sprague Avenue and Mica View Drive.
Only one property, Duncan’s Produce, lost power. Employees had just shown up for work and had to turn around. The owner of Casey Duncan says the block is no stranger to crashes but it was the first time he had to search his property for a missing driver.

“We were just making sure he wasn’t on our property,” said Duncan. “We had to walk through and check to see if he was hiding in one of the cars here.”
Deputies say they are working to contact the car’s owner as they cannot confirm whether it had been stolen.
