The Philadelphia Eagles unveiled Super Bowl championship rings on Thursday that feature a total of 219 diamonds and 17 green sapphires.

The 10-karat white gold ring includes 127 diamonds on the bezel in a tribute to the “Philly Special” trick play that resulted in a touchdown in the team’s 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, according to the team’s website.

That number is the sum of the jersey numbers of the three players who handled the ball during the fourth-down-and-goal play: Running back Corey Clement (30), tight end Trey Burton (88) and quarterback Nick Foles (9).

Clement took the direct snap and flipped the football to Burton, who rolled right and threw a touchdown pass to Foles.

Other groupings of diamonds on the ring also have special meanings, with 52 diamonds in the Eagle head logo to represent Super Bowl LII, 16 diamonds in the Lombardi Trophy for the team’s 16 overall victories, 13 diamonds at the base of the trophy for the franchise-record-tying 13 regular-season wins, and three diamonds at the top of the trophy for the team’s three postseason wins.

The ring also includes an “underdog” mask inscribed on the inside of the ring, the word “family” and the team motto “We All We Got, We All We Need” on one of its sides, and the title of the team’s fight song (“Fly, Eagles, Fly”) on the outer band.

The ring, which was created by Jostens, was presented to the team at a private event Thursday in South Philadelphia.

Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie told the team’s website that the players specifically wanted something over the top when it came time to design the ring.

They wanted “something that was demonstrative and big and ‘blingy,’ I would call it,” Lurie said. “We embraced that concept.”
