Driver injured in crash on Highway 12, roadway still partially blocked
Idaho State Police received a report around 11:41 a.m. Wednesday of a blocking semi truck crash on US 12, west of the Powell area.
34-year-old Christopher Johnson from Missoula, Montana, was driving a truck and trailer loaded with wood chips.
Johnson was traveling westbound on US 12 negotiating a right turn when the tractor and trailer laid over onto the driver’s side.
The roadway was completely blocked for four hours, and the roadway is still partially blocked, as crews recover the trailer.
Johnson was transported by ground ambulance to Syringa Hospital in Grangeville. He was wearing a seatbelt.
