Driver dies in collision on I-90 in Kootenai County
COEUR D’ALENE, ID. — A woman died in a collision on Interstate 90 in Coeur d’Alene.
Idaho State Police are investigating a two vehicle collision from Friday evening on I-90 in Kootenai County. The crash was just east of Wolf Ridge at milepost 26.5.
A Volvo semi truck with a trailer attached was driving eastbound on I-90 when another vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling westbound on the eastbound lane of I-90.
The Volvo and the Silverado collided head on. The driver in the Silverado was dead on scene.
The driver of the Volvo was accompanied by a passenger. Both individuals were sent to the hospital. All parties involved wore seat belts.
The road was blocked for around three hours to allow emergency responders to help.
