Don’t plug the meter! Here are some reminders from the City of Spokane this Presidents Day

SPOKANE, Wash. — Monday is Presidents Day, a federal holiday that falls on George Washington’s birthday and honors all U.S. presidents, past and present.

Since it is a holiday, there are some reminders the City of Spokane would like you to know:

• Parking meters do not need to be plugged

• The Spokane City Council meeting has been canceled. The council will reconvene on Monday, February 23.

• City of Spokane offices are open as normal.

• Garbage pickup and curbside recycling will proceed on a normal schedule.

• Municipal Court employees will be working and are available by phone, but the County Courthouse building will be closed and unavailable for walk-in customers.

• The Numerica Skate Ribbon, SkyRide, Looff Carrousel and city libraries are all open for you to enjoy.
