Dog attack sends Spokane woman to the hospital
A Spokane dog will likely be euthanized after attacking its owner’s girlfriend so severely she had to be hospitalized.
According the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection, or SCRAPS, the dog has been surrendered and will likely be put down.
It is described only as a medium sized, mixed-breed dog.
According to SCRAPS, the dog’s owner and his girlfriend got into an argument in their apartment home earlier today near Boone and Monroe.
The dog first became aggressive with its owner and when that man’s girlfriend tried to get the dog off him, the dog attacked her.
She was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
The extent of her injuries and her current condition are not known.
SCRAPS says an attack this severe is not a common occurrence, but does happen a few times a year.
