DNR placing shooting restrictions in Stevens County due to dry conditions
OLYMPIA– The Washington Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is closing two target shooting state land areas for the time being.
Working with Stevens County, DNR is temporarily closing the areas due to dry conditions.
An increase in fire activity in certain areas of Stevens County resulted in the closing of these areas.
DNR will reopen the area again when time and conditions permit.
DNR-protected lands restrict the use of incendiary devices, as they are illegal in these areas. Violators of the restrictions could pay fines as a result of disobeying these laws.
