Disturbance near Southeast Blvd. and Rockwood Blvd. leaves person dead

SPOKANE, Wash. — On Saturday night, the Spokane Police Department responded to a disturbance near Southeast Boulevard and Rockwood Boulevard.

At around 2 p.m. in the 2200 block of East Southeast Boulevard, officers saw a subject with significant injuries, which appeared to be caused by a sharp object.

The subject eventually died from the incident. The manner of death and the identity of the person who died will be released at a later time by the medical examiner.

The SPD Major Crimes Unit is conducting a death investigation. Those involved were contacted by the police and there is no on-going threat to the public.
