SR 27 reopened near Marietta, several people detained
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Several people been detained in an incident near State Route 27 and Marietta Ave in Spokane Valley.
SR 27 has reopened after being closed for several hours.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Corporal Mark Gregory said the incident started in North Idaho around 2:30 a.m.
Gregory said Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police tried to stop the car for speeding. More than one person in the car fired toward officers and sped off.
Tribal Police lost the car on dirt roads in North Idaho, then chased them south into Spokane County. The suspect vehicle was then found at the Spokane Valley apartment complex.
Several occupants from the car have been detained.
The FBI in Salt Lake City is taking over the case.
The East Valley School District is running 90 minutes late on Friday as a result of the incident.
