Deputies searching for missing work crew inmate
UPDATE: Deputies captured Smith on April 4.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Geiger Work Crew Inmate who walked away from his work detail Thursday afternoon.
41-year-old Keith A. Smith walked away from his assigned work detail near Market and Hawthorne. Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies searched the area but have not been able to find him.
Just before 2 p.m., a Geiger Work Crew Corrections Officer reported that Smith had walked away from his work detail.
Deputies checked the area, as well as Smith’s last known address, but were unable to find him.
Smith was being held on a misdemeanor warrant stemming from a 2015 case where he failed to appear.
Keith is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, who weighs 200 pounds. He has short/balding brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a maroon shirt and blue pants.
