MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Authorities in Grant County responded to a shooting in the Base area of Moses Lake Tuesday morning.

The lockdown for nearby residents was lifted just before 11:30 a.m, but the suspect remains at large. He is believed to be wearing a red flannel shirt, white jeans, a black beanie and carrying a handgun.

The shooting happened in an area called the Larson Community or “The Base,” which was previously the Larson Air Force Base. It is close to Big Bend Community College and North Elementary School.

Grant County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman said no victims have been found, but the agency received reports of shots fired and the suspect running away.
