Deputies: Mullan woman was acting in self defense when she shot man in the face
MULLAN, Idaho — A Mullan woman was determined to have been acting in self defense when she shot a 50-year-old man in the face on April 1.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office said the incident began as a domestic violence incident.
Deputies took Terry Ullom into custody on a felony fail to appear warrant for separate charges out of the State of Colorado. However, SCSO has recommended charging Ullom with domestic battery and attempted strangulation.
Ullom was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover from the gunshot wound.
The victim, a 60-year-old woman, has not been named. She was taken to the hospital for injuries she suffered during the physical altercation. SCSO said she will not be charged in the shooting, as she was defending herself.
