Deputies arrest Whitman County father, son for unlawful possession of firearms
LAMONT, Wash. — The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office arrested a father and son in Lamont and confiscated the weapons they weren’t legally allowed to have.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of Spokane Street Sunday afternoon to investigate reports that someone was shooting into the air from a home’s porch. Authorities said the caller was worried about people’s safety.
Authorities contacted the homeowner, Douglas Graham, who at the time was across town hunting with a shotgun. Deputies learned he was prohibited from possessing firearms, so he was arrested.
They later found the 51-year-old man’s son at the house where the initial shooting was reported. The sheriff’s office believe it was 22-year-old Levi Graham who was shooting off the porch. Authorities said he also was prohibited from possessing firearms.
Levi was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm, aiming or discharging firearms and reckless endangerment. His father was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.
