Deputies arrest 70-year-old Cashmere woman who called, admitted to killing mother
CASHMERE, Wash. — Deputies arrested a 70-year-old woman from Cashmere early Saturday morning when she called to let them know she had just killed her mother.
Anita Jones called shortly after 2 a.m. from a house in the 400 block of Pioneer Avenue in Cashmere, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies arrived and took Jones into custody.
According to a release, detectives interviewed Jones before she was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center for murder 1st degree.
The investigation is ongoing.
