Coug offensive lineman Denzell Dotson arrested for DUI

Cougars take down Idaho in battle of border rivals

A WSU Cougar offensive lineman was arrested by Pullman police overnight Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Denzell Dotson, an 18-year-old freshman from Peoria, Arizona, was arrested near Colorado and D Street at 1:15 a.m. Sunday.

“The coaches are aware of the situation and will take the appropriate action,” WSU Sports Information Director Bill Stevens said.

Dotson, who earned first team All-State, All Conference and All-Arizona honors in high school, graduated early, was recruited by former Cougar Head Coach Paul Wulff and enrolled in school last January.

His scholarship offer was honored by Coach Mike Leach when he took over the program last year.
