Contigo has recalled 5.7 million kids water bottles due to a choking hazard.

The recall affects the Contigo Kids Cleanable water bottles in 13 oz, 14 oz and 20 oz sizes. Impacted water bottles have a black spout and black spout base. The company said the water bottle’s clear silicon spout can detach, posing a hazard to children.

The affected water bottles were sold at Costco, Walmart, Target and various online websites from April 2018 through June 2019 for between $9 and $24.

Consumers should immediately stop using the water bottles and take them away from children. Learn more about how to see if your child’s water bottle is affected here.

People can return their recalled product and receive a free replacement lid. You must submit a form, then Contigo will send you a shipping label.
