Construction underway on a new set, new look for KXLY
SPOKANE, Wash — They say there are two seasons in Spokane, winter and construction season. KXLY4 is about to embark on construction season inside our studios at 500 W. Boone Avenue.
For decades, KXLY4 news anchors have delivered the news you count on from the same set, with the bustling newsroom behind us. That has served us well, but it’s time for a change. It’s time for a setting that will allow us to better deliver the news, weather and information that matter to your life.
So, it’s out with the old, in with the new. But, it’s going to take time.
Friday night, May 17th, KXLY4 will deliver our last newscast from the set we’ve been using since before Y2K and before the iPhone was invented. Over the next six weeks or so, we’ll move to a temporary studio in our building while construction gets underway.
July 1st, we invite you into our new home with a look and feel that will take us well into the future. It’s all part of our investment in the local community to bring you the information that matters to you.
In the coming weeks, we hope you’ll enjoy the journey with us as we work through the construction. During that time, we’ll still provide you with the relevant news you have come to count on from kxly4.
It’s construction season. We can’t wait to show you what’s next.
