Collision with moose near Coeur d’Alene

Idaho State Police responded to an early crash southbound on US95.

Derek Gregory and Amanda McCarthy were driving at approximately 2 a.m. when they struck a moose.

Their vehicle came to a stop on the shoulder of the highway. Both passengers were not wearing their seatbelts, and transported to Kootenai Health via ambulance.

The moose was struck again by Walter Betts. Betts remains uninjured from the collision.
