Coeur d’Alene Schools eliminates mask mandate in the classroom

COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho — The Coeur d’Alene School Board voted 3–2 to eliminate the mask mandate in city schools.
Now, masks will only be “strongly recommended” for students and staff.
There was no audience at the meeting, but board trustees said they had heard from lots of people who both supported and opposed the move.
The change goes into effect Wednesday.
This is a developing story.
