Coeur d’Alene floating green floats across lake for routine maintenance
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — On Tuesday morning, the floating 14th hole of the Coeur d’Alene Resort’s golf course made a voyage across lake Coeur d’Alene.
Taylor Fore, the Golf Sales Manager at the resort said, “Lots of folks got together and with our architects. Over the last 28 years we’ve dumped about 200,000 pounds of sand on that surface and it was just time for a little maintenance and we’ve had a lot of great memories on the floating green and in order for us to continue to do that we’ve got to do a little maintenance to it and that’s what we’re doing today.”
The resort says the green was heading to Murphy Marine Construction where it will be housed during the winter to get a thorough maintenance check-up.
