Cloudy, hazy and warm Friday evening – Kris
It’s not a very pretty Friday night. Mostly cloudy skies and haze from area wildfires are giving the skies an eerie hue. That will not be the case for long. A shift in winds overnight should help clear out some of the wildfire smoke. The air quality will likely stay in the MODERATE range, but that will also depend on fire behavior. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy and warm conditions overnight. Temperatures will only drop into the upper 60s by Saturday morning.
Get ready for a hot and sunny weekend! Temperatures will peak in the mid-90s on both Saturday and Sunday. However, compared to the triple-digit heat of the workweek, it might feel pretty good! If your weekend plans take you to the mountains, there is a slight chance of mountain showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. The next change of more widespread thunderstorm activity is early next week.
