Clear and warm tonight but the HEAT ADVISORY continues – Kris
One of the best things about a hot, dry August day in the Inland Northwest is how quickly things cool-down at night! Expect clear skies tonight and temperatures dropping in the 60s by Tuesday morning. A HEAT ADVISORY will continue for the area through the day. Temperatures will warm to near 100° by Tuesday late afternoon. It won’t be quite as clear, however. Clouds will increase, and so will our chances of isolated thunderstorms. Any thunderstorm activity will bring the potential of gusty winds and dry lightning. We will be watching closely for the possibility of new fire starts.
Meanwhile, although the HEAT ADVISORY expires Tuesday night, the hot weather continues. Expect temperatures in the 90s through the 7-day forecast with dry and occasionally breezy conditions.
