SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane has issued three notices of funding availability for small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and down payment assistance providers.

Small businesses that can show a decline in revenue from March 2020 till now will be awarded grants up to $45,000. The grants will work as reimbursement for expenses small businesses already paid.

Nonprofit organizations that can show operating expenses from March 2020 till now can also receive grants up to $45,000. Nonprofits are required to provide information on how the expenses have been disproportionally impacted.

Financial organizations offering down payment assistance for Spokane citizens are also eligible to receive funding through the American Rescue Plan Act.

The organizations must be offering down payments to first-time homebuyers, those with a family income below $100,000 per year, and provide proof of income eligibility and location of the home.

The deadline to apply for the grants is December 21. Businesses and organizations can apply on the City’s portal.
