City making steps toward bringing bike share program to Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash. — UPDATE 4/16/2018, 9:30 PM: Spokane City Council unanimously approved the study during their Monday night meeting.
A bike share study for the City of Spokane is on Monday night’s agenda for the City Council meeting.
The council will have the chance to approve, or reject, a nearly $50,000 contract between the city and a Portland, Oregon, based consultant group that has been asked to conduct a study on how a bike-share program would work in Spokane.
The system, like the ones that have popped up in many other cities over the last few years, has been on the table in Spokane for quite some time.
The City of Spokane says it’s just a question of how best to implement it here, and that’s what they hope the study will find out.
