City, county prepare roads for more snow
SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane and Spokane County have crews out right now in advance of the storm laying down deicer and sand on priority routes.
They say with 2 to 4 inches expected they’re going to have crews out as needed.
The City of Spokane says depending on how much does end up falling they aren’t ruling out re-initiating a full city plow.
The county has more than 5000 miles of roadways to plow in both directions and were just wrapping up plowing the remainder of the last snowfall when this new storm was announced.
With the worst of the snow fall expected later on Tuesday evening, city and county officials want to remind everyone to take their time on the roads, plan for extra time, and drive relative to the conditions.
They also would like to remind drivers to be patient with plow drivers, give them plenty of space, and to not pass them on the right.
