City asks for help with Dutch Jake’s park revitalization

City of Spokane Parks and Recreation in partnership with The Trust for Public Land will host an interactive Open House to continue the next phase of design for Dutch Jake’s Park.

They are seeking the public’s input to identify uses, programs, and future amenities to meet the neighborhood’s vision for the park, and discussing the schedule for park events and construction for 2018. They want residents to join the city for a review of the existing master plan and proposed uses, and to share ideas on how to make Dutch Jake’s Park a safe and fun place for everyone.

Dutch Jake’s Park Revitalization Open House
Thursday, February 15
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
West Central Community Center
1603 N. Belt Street

The project provides an opportunity to improve park safety and community cohesion, recognizes and honors the rich history of the West Central Neighborhood, incorporates the work of local artists, and increases park accessibility and connection to other destinations in the neighborhood.
