City asks citizens for feedback on proposed downtown project
SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane is developing a project to rebuild parts of Riverside Avenue between Division and Monroe streets and is asking for citizens to provide feedback.
As part of the planning process, the City would like to explore options for Riverside and is inviting feedback from citizens on possible features of the project. Those features include the street’s function, appearance, and economic vitality. The City is considering how downtown traffic should be configured along Riverside, specifically looking at parking, lane configurations, and stop locations along the STA Central City Line route.
There are two ways citizens can provide feedback about the project:
Attend a public open house on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the STA Plaza Rotunda.
Review an online presentation and then fill out an online survey at the end.
Construction on the project would likely be done over several construction seasons and could begin as early as early 2019.
