Christmas Tree Elegance plans for even more visitors
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Davenport Hotel and River Park Square are hosting the 2018 Christmas Tree Elegance event, and there will be even more visitors than last year!
Christmas Tree Elegance is a raffle of 18 custom-decorated trees with prizes such as gift certificates, cash and a Father Christmas sculpture. The event will be held from Nov. 27 to Dec. 9.
The chance to win one of the decorated trees and all its themed gifts has been a Spokane holiday tradition for 36 years. Thousands of people across the Inland Northwest come to view the trees and purchase raffle tickets, hoping to win one of the fantastic prizes.
There will be 12 decorated trees and a Father Christmas sculpture in the mezzanine of the Historic Davenport Hotel. Sales for the Davenport trees and Father Christmas will end at 9 p.m. on Dec. 8, with the drawing for winners to follow.
The other 6 trees will line the second floor at River Park Square. The sales for those trees will end on Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.
The Spokane Symphony Music Director, Eckart Preu and members of the orchestra will be performing popular favorites at the Historic Davenport Hotel. These performances will be the last of its kind as Preu will retire jos tenure as music director in May 2019.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Spokane Symphony.
