Child rape suspect found hiding in Spokane Valley
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — UPDATE: KXLY4’s Taylor Graham reports that child rape suspect Donald A. Hegel was taken into custody just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. The sheriff’s office used K9s to help get Hegel to surrender. More information here.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and SWAT Team responded to a tip Wednesday night that child rape suspect, 38-year-old Donald A. Hegel, was hiding in Spokane Valley.
According to SCSO Deputy Mark Gregory, police and SWAT Team members arrived at Leta Rd and 4th, where Hegel threatened that he would shoot if police came any closer.
The Sheriff’s Office sent out this infomation on Twitter.
