Child injured in mobile home fire
SPOKANE, Wash. — A child was injured and taken to a local hospital after a mobile home fire just before midnight Monday.
The Spokane Fire Department responded to the 4300 block of E. Longfellow Ave. for a report of a residence on fire. Crews arrived to find heavy fire engulfing the mobile home.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading.
All residents of the home were able to evacuate, but one child was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The American Red Cross responded to assist the residents, which included three children.
The mobile home was a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Spokane Fire Department’s Special Investigation Unit.
