Chiefs win series over Everett, advance to Western Conference Finals
SPOKANE, Wash. — With a 2-1 nailbiting victory over the Everett Silvertips in the Spokane Arena on Saturday night, the Spokane Chiefs advance to the Western Hockey League Conference Finals against the Vancouver Giants.
Everett’s Robbie Holmes got the first goal on the board for the Silvertips, but Nolan Reid scored on the power play in the second period with an assist from Ty Smith to even it up 1-1.
Riley Woods gave the Chiefs a 2-1 lead in the second period with the assists coming from Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Ty Smith. The defense held that lead for the entire third period, and the Chiefs win the series over the Silvertips 4-1.
They will play the Vancouver Giants of the B.C. division in Vancovuer to start the Semifinal series on April 19th.
