Chelan, WA native Joe Harris drops 25 points in 130-108 victory in NBA playoffs
BROOKLYN, N.Y.– Chelan, WA native Joe Harris goes off for 25 points in the Brooklyn Nets’ victory against the Boston Celtics in game two of the first round of the 2021 NBA playoffs.
In game one of the series, Harris played 37 minutes and finished with 10 points on 4-11 shooting 4-11 from the field and 2-6 from behind the three point arc. Teammates Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving stole the show last Saturday, dropping a combined 61 points in Brooklyn’s game one win.
Tuesday night, Harris took over. Harris shot 9-14 from the field and 7-10 from the three point arc in the Nets 130-108 win Tuesday night. Harris also finished the night with a plus-minus (+/-) of +29 points, meaning when he was on the floor, the Nets outscored the Celtics by 29 points.
The only player in the game who finished with a higher plus-minus than Harris was his other all-star teammate James Harden, who ended the night with a plus-minus of +31 points.
The former second round pick out of the University of Virginia would only be outscored by Durant, who finished with 26 points. Harris was the second highest scorer amongst all players in game two.
The No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference takes a 2-0 lead heading into Boston, where the No. 7 seed Celtics will host the next two games in hopes of sending the series back to Brooklyn for a game five.
