Chattaroy restaurant raises nearly $20k for families of teens involved in fatal crash

CHATTAROY, Wash. — Biggies Restaurant in Chattaroy raised $19,940 for the families of two teens involved in a fatal crash weeks ago.

The restaurant told 4 News Now that many people waited in line for half an hour just to donate checks.

The funds will go directly to the families of the two teens who were involved in a crash on Elk-Chattaroy Road, which killed one and hospitalized the other.

Biggies sold taco plates to the public for $10 each, and 25 businesses donated items to be raffled off as well.

A GoFundMe is also still available for the families. It is nearly halfway to its $5000 goal.
