CenturyLink still working to repair major internet outage
UPDATE: CenturyLink has ‘identified a network element’ that is believed to be causing the outage and says engineers are working ‘around the clock’ to restore service.
As of Friday morning, the company said good progress had been made but the outage was not fully resolved yet.
We are seeing good progress, but our service restoration work is not complete. Our teams are continuing their efforts to resolve these issues and we will continue to provide updates throughout the day.

Customers with CenturyLink internet service are reporting a widespread outage across the United States Thursday, with many of those reports coming from the pacific northwest.
A KXLY viewer sent a message Thursday morning saying service is down for their entire company. A search on Twitter turned up no official statement from the company, but did show reports of customers nationwide, frustrated with the lack of service.
CenturyLink did issue a statement to Newsweek, saying the network was experiencing a “disruption.”
The website downdetector.com shows customer reports from all over the country. You can check out their outage map here.
