Central Valley senior finds herself at the top of the state

SPOKANE, Wash. — High School spring sports season is in full swing, and despite the weather we’ve had lately, athletes are still pushing through.

For one Central Valley High School Senior, she now finds herself at the top of the state in the 300 meter hurdles. She says at this point it’s more of a mental game than anything else.

This week’s Shining Stars is Cassidy Haddad, who’s set big goals for her senior year. While she may have her eyes on state, Haddad will certainly be cherishing her last few track and field memories before performing on the big stage.

If you know of a potential Shining Star, send us your nominations to sports@kxly.com, they must be a senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
