SPOKANE, Wash. — A Central Valley High School student has been listed in critical condition after being severely injured in a crash on I-90 near Post Falls, according to health officials.

Adam England was transported from Kootenai Health to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Wednesday.

England lost control of his vehicle during a snowstorm on Tuesday and crashed into a jersey barrier near the Spokane St. on-ramp. The teen was standing outside of his Subaru when a Jeep Grand Cherokee struck it. England was then struck and thrown off the road.

CVHS informed the school community about England on Wednesday and provided extra counselors to help any students who needed support.
