Celtics take down Wizards 115-105; now face Cavs
Celtics’ backup center Kelly Olynyk lead Boston past the Washington Wizards 115-105 in Game 7 Monday to earn a date with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals.
Olynyk finished the game with 26 points. In a series where the home team won every game, Isaiah Thomas scored 29 points and had a playoff career-high 12 assists, according to ESPN, CBS and other news outlets.
Bradley Beal scored 38 points with four rebounds for the Wizards, but John Wall finished with 18 points on 8-of-23 shooting.
In addition to facing LeBron James in the upcoming series between the Celtics and Cavaliers, the matchup between Thomas and Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving could go a long way in deciding who wins the Eastern Conference finals.
