Celebrate cherry season on Green Bluff with the Cherry Pickers Trot & Pit Spit

COLBERT, Wash. — The Cherry Pickers Trot and Pit Spit is back for the first time in more than 2 years!

The event is every third Thursday in July on Green Bluff and celebrates the start of cherry season.

This Thursday, July 21 at 7 p.m., you can participate in a four-mile run through Green Bluff’s orchard country on paved roads.

There’s even a pit spit contest at 5 p.m. — see if you can spit your cherry pit the farthest!

Food, live music and other family fun will be in tow as well.

No dogs are allowed for insurance liability reasons.

It costs $15 to register for the race — the price will increase to $20 after Wednesday, July 20.

The event is located at 9809 E Green Bluff Rd — where Green Bluff Grange, the community church and Beck’s Harvest House intersect.
