CDA Police Arrest Suspect In 2004 Stabbing Of Hotel Clerk

COEUR D’ALENE — Coeur d’Alene Police arrested a Hayden Lake man Thursday in connection with the stabbing of a hotel clerk in 2004.

At around 5:30 p.m., police arrested 24-year-old Brandon Aldridge and charged him with aggravated battery. He is believed to have been the man who attacked a female clerk at the Coeur d’Alene Inn on January 26, 2004. The clerk was stabbed several times in the right arm and leg before the attacker fled. The victim didn’t know her attacker.

Police believe that robbery was the motive of the attack. Numerous leads helped detectives confirm that Aldridge was the attacker in this case. Aldridge has been cooperative with Coeur d’Alene investigators, and he has been taken to the Kootenai County Jail in Coeur d’Alene.
