Laney Erickson scores 18 as Ferris returns to basketball

Sometimes the scoreboard really doesn't matter.  That was the case Tuesday night on the South Hill as the Ferris Saxon basketball teams returned to action for the first time after losing former Saxon, Kellen Erickson last week.

Eagles edge Bears in 2nd consecutive overtime win

For the second-straight game the Eastern Washington University men's basketball team had a dominating performance in overtime and beat Northern Colorado 89-84 in a battle for second place in the Big Sky Conference standings at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash.

Howard happy to be back leading the CV Bears

The Central Valley Bears girls basketball team is no stranger to being on top of the standings, this year's team is right back in first place of the 4A standings.  Senior Peyton Howard is back on the floor this year leading the way after spending a year on the sidelines recovering from a knee injury.

20th ranked Whitworth Pirates fall at home to rival Whitman

Robert Colton totaled 25points and 12 rebounds to lead visiting Whitman to an 89-80 win at 20th-ranked Whitworth on Tuesday night, handing the Pirates their first Northwest Conference men’s basketball setback of the season in first of two Battle of Whits in 2020. 

Elleby named Pac-12 Player of the Week

Washington State Men's Basketball sophomore forward CJ Elleby was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 18, the conference office announced Monday. Elleby is the first Coug to earn the award this season and the first since Robert Franks took home the top honor Feb. 22, 2019.
