Lanes reopen on westbound I-90 near Freya Ave. after car fire

SPOKANE, Wash. — Traffic on westbound I-90 near Freya is back to normal, cleared after a car fire shut down several lanes.

Fire personnel and law enforcement were on-scene investigating shortly after, diverting traffic to a single lane.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Spokane Regional Transportation Management Center maps showed traffic was backed up well past the I-90 Broadway exit.
