Candlelight vigil held to remember 2-year-old boy
SPOKANE, Wash. — A local family is thanking the community for support after the death of their young son.
Koa Norman died after falling into the Spokane River last weekend near Nine Mile Falls. Authorities said he was only in the water for a few minutes before he was rescued. Despite great efforts from his father and emergency responders to keep him alive, he didn’t survive.
A family spokesperson said there was a vigil Sunday night to honor his memory. It was well attended by members of the community. His parents said they are grateful for all the support.
