Camano Island State Park now taking online camping reservations
OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington State Parks has introduced a new reservation system that, starting this season, will require campers wishing to stay overnight at Camano Island State Park to register online.
Located an hour from Seattle, Camano Island State Park is a premiere camping spot. Its rocky shoreline and beaches offer a variety of activities, such as crabbing, boating and saltwater fishing.
Campsites went online for the first time in January 2019. The reservation system was created in order to provide campers with a more user-friendly experience when securing campsites, which are now reservable from May 15- Sept. 15.
While the campsites operate year round, they have been offered on a first-come, first-served basis in the past. With high season picking up, however, park staff say that reservations will be required in order to guarantee future campers a spot.
