‘Building Brighter Futures’ fundraiser aims to help sustain programs, activities at Northeast Youth Center
SPOKANE, Wash. — More than a hundred kids in the Hillyard community benefit from different programs and activities at the Northeast Youth Center.
And you can help them keep their programs going at a fundraising event next weekend.
The Building Brighter Futures Dinner & Auction is meant to raise money to fund a variety of educational and recreational programs at the center.
This includes the camp programs in the summertime.
But all year long, the NEYC serves kids from 2 1/2 to 15 and gives them the resources to succeed that they may not find elsewhere.
“It’s just an amazing opportunity for us as a community to come together and give these at-risk children a better chance at life,” said the Northeast Youth Center Executive Director Kate Green.
The fundraising event is next Saturday, March 7 at 5 p.m. at the Gonzaga University Hemmingson Center.
It will feature a live and silent auction, games, dinner and drinks.
